
About the Recipe
Ribs in the Instant Pot are so easy and they fall off the bone! My family loves this recipe.
Ingredients
2 racks of small to med size ribs (we use Baby Back with membrane removed)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tbsp of dried parsley
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 bottle BBQ sauce (12 oz your choice... we like spicy!)
Directions
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl (brown sugar, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, onion powder, paprika)
Run dry ingredients into both sides of the ribs
Place the steam rack in the Instant Pot
Pour in the water and apple cider vinegar
Place the ribs into the Instant Pot. Curve them around the edges
Set the Instant Pot to high pressure and set timer for 27 minutes
Ensure the release button is sealed
The Instant Pot will take 10 to 15 minutes for the pot to pressure up
When pressure cook cycle is complete, use the quick release method to release pressure
In a conventional oven, set the oven rack about 6 inches from the broiler
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
Carefully remove ribs from pressure cooker (they will be very tender) and place on baking sheet
Baste ribs with bbq sauce
Broil ribs about 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is bubbly
Remove from oven, serve and enjoy!
