About the Recipe
A classic! Pecan pie recipe that I have used for years. Had to make modification for high altitude but its still a great recipe. Take the easy way out and buy your crust!
Ingredients
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup butter melted
1 cup white corn syrup
1 and 1/4 cup pecans whole
2 tbsp flour (omit if not high altitude)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 store bought pie crust
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all ingredients but pecans with a low speed mixer or by had until well combined
Stir in pecans
Pour ingredients into pie shell
Bake at 350 deg for 60 to 65 minutes. Pie is done when it has a rich brown color and is no longer jiggly in the middle
Cool on wire rack
Serve with whip cream or vanilla ice cream
